Much of the Exumas consists of shallow banks, sandbars, and protected anchorages, allowing suitable catamarans to get closer to beaches and explore areas that deeper-draft yachts may need to avoid. Motor yachts are the better choice if speed, luxury amenities, and covering greater distances are priorities. For relaxed island hopping and maximum access to shallow water, choose a catamaran.
